INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY CELEBRATIONS REPORT

We take immense pride to announce that Chalapathi and Oak Valley International Schools have taken an initiative to reach out for the underprivileged children of the society and spread across the joy of reading in association with Pratham books.

Every year UNESCO celebrates International Literacy day on September 8 with an aim to highlight the importance of education in individuals & communities.

This year’s theme is Literacy in digital world with an aim to educate people in increasingly digitally mediated societies and to explore effective literacy policies that can increase opportunities in digital world.

A hilarious skit called “Kottavi Raja and sleepy Kingdom was performed by our students and spread the Joy of reading stories. All the students were given story books to inculcate the habit of reading from young age. Thank you Spoorti orphanage home for making this memorable.
